There’s no shortage of things to do at Puistofiesta! Check out all the fun activities and experiences the event has to offer.

  • We’ll be showcasing the wide range of recreational activities offered by Tampere Summer University, The Adult Education Centre of the Tampere Region, and Ahjola Adult Education Center. Our stand will feature our offering related to our activities, as well as possible free raffles or trivia contests.

  • An introduction to Aikido, with free, non-stop trial sessions for children and adults. Come try out Aikido’s weapon and body techniques under the guidance of experienced instructors!

  • Thai boxing, kickboxing and Krav Maga.

  • Are you a cheerleader? Or are you interested in cheer dance? The Dream Team Cheerleaders welcome everyone to come watch, try it out, and learn more about what we do at the DTC activity stand! <3 Cheerleading is a versatile and dynamic sport that involves various lifts, pyramids, and acrobatics—all while having fun together. Cheer dance is known for its sharp, show-stopping moves, pom-poms, pirouettes, and jumps.

  • Using BodyMind Energy Balancing techniques, we offer free assessments and corrections of postural misalignments as well as relaxation treatments for the neck and shoulders. You can also participate in guided energy exercises.

  • Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is a spiritual practice for the body and mind. The exercises are gentle, light, and easy to learn, making them suitable for people of all ages. Come and give it a try!

  • Immerse yourself in the excitement of figure skating and get a sneak peek at the 2027 World Championships in Tampere! At the World Championships stand, you can enter a ticket raffle, spin the wheel of fortune and try your hand at spinning pirouettes. Welcome!

  • Get the most out of your travel insurance—come talk to our experts about currency matters and international money transfers.

  • Spin the Wellness Wheel for those 18 and older—you could win prizes related to holistic well-being.

  • Come join us for some crafts and learn more about what we do. You’re also welcome to stop by our office at Hämeenpuisto 41 for coffee and ice cream.

  • Hämeen Naisvoimistelijat HNV offers a wide range of inspiring group exercise classes for adults. At our facility, you can test your core strength.

  • Come check out Hämeen Pinskut’s club and camp activities! At our stand, you can get a cool face painting and win prizes on the wheel of fortune.

  • Ringette shooting station, distribution of promotional materials.

  • Discover Thai martial arts and improve your fitness and skills with a fun group.

  • Let’s explore the culture and knotting techniques of mizuhiki—Japanese paper cords with a history even longer than that of sushi! At our stand, you can admire an exhibition of mizuhiki knots, watch the artisans at work, and participate in a free workshop. If you’re interested in Japanese culture or love crafts, come visit us!

  • At the Jamkids’ stand, you can join a music workshop—an engaging and interactive musical experience designed for children of all ages. In the music workshop, children get to sing, move, and play various instruments with Jamkids’ cheerful teachers. You can participate in the music workshop for as long as you like. Welcome the whole family to make music together!

  • Practicing Shotokan-style karate in Tampere since 1980! Local representative of the global Japan Karate Association!

  • Stop by the Kalypso mermaid oasis to try your hand at target throwing into the pond and meet a mermaid. We’ll be showcasing our swimming lessons at the stand, and mermaid tails for swimming will be on sale!

  • Welcome to learn more about Kanerva-kuoro choir ! This four-part mixed choir was founded in 1945. The choir rehearses and performs in Tampere. Members will be on hand to tell you about our activities.

  • At the Kangasala Pikkuteatteri stand, you can learn about theatre as a hobby and, if you’d like, get a little taste of acting! Kangasala Pikkuteatteri is a volunteer-run amateur theatre group for children and young people in Kangasala that has been providing opportunities for theatre activities for over 15 years.

  • Kansankioski Romu & Random brings offers everyone the chance to express their creativity through drawing, arts and crafts, painting, or even making small handmade items. The only limit is your imagination! Come say hello to the Romula members and create something totally random!

  • Rohee is Tampere’s own street newspaper, and anyone can earn extra income by selling it.

  • Information on animal welfare and especially abandoned cats, a small-scale sale of merchandise, and a lighthearted contest.

  • At the Koovee Figure Skating Section’s stand, you can try out some figure skating exercises, meet skaters, and learn about the section’s many recreational groups, ranging from skating schools to adult skating.

  • A little time spent crafting. In the leather workshop, you’ll learn how to shape and decorate the material. The finished piece will be a piece of jewelry, a keychain, or some other small, fun item. Come check out Näpsä, a place where you can express your creativity and share the joy of success with like-minded people. The crafts and design school is a hobby for children, teens, and adults. At Näpsä, students receive basic instruction in the art of crafts, with the goal of providing them with hands-on experiences in crafts, design, and technology. Come learn about the courses and try your hand at making something yourself!

  • Argentine tango—a passionate, joyful, atmospheric and playful dance! Come check it out and let the embrace sweep you away! La Fabrica del Tango, an Argentine tango dance school, invites you to watch and try it out! Welcome to our classes and come dance at Klingendahl!

  • Lionism is about having fun while doing good, together with great people. Stop by our stand and let’s chat! If you know of a cause that needs help, please let us know.

  • We are a Lions Club. We do volunteer work here in Tampere, and our motto is “We Serve.” Lions Clubs are communities of volunteers who address local needs and provide concrete service; for example, we donate the proceeds from the concerts we organise to the Food Bank or to low-income families through the diaconal work of local parishes. On our website, we explain what we do in practice.

  • Come check out Manse Quads’ mini roller skating disco and get excited about quad skating!

  • At this activity stand, you can test your badminton skills and ponder some tricky questions about the sport.

  • At the Kalpaveljet Fencing Club’s stand, you can watch the traditional Finnish kalpa fencing style—familiar from the Olympics—and try your hand at fencing under the guidance of experienced fencers. Suitable for all ages.

  • Minikiipeli is a gathering place for families with babies and toddlers in West Tampere. Come try out circus equipment, balance on the obstacle course with the Kiipeli crew, and learn more about what we do. There will be some fun little surprises in store for our young participants.

  • Introduction to the association (crafts, musicians, warriors, etc.)

  • At the Demo Music School stand, you can learn about what our music school has to offer and try out different instruments under the guidance of Demo’s music teachers.

  • Come learn more about the activities at Musiikkitoteemi Music School and try out different instruments.

  • Normiopaste uses traffic signs to teach visitors about safer traffic practices at its stand. Activities include identifying traffic signs, a “can I drive here?” maze (where participants draw a path with a pen), and a sign legibility test.

  • Nysse is making a stop at Puistofiesta to celebrate its 20th anniversary. There are all sorts of fun things at the Nysse stand: temporary tattoos for kids, free anniversary travel card holders and commemorative magazines and, of course, information about public transportation services.

  • Learn about Scouting—we also offer some fun activities!

  • Introduction to line dancing.

  • Recycling advice and a spin of the wheel of fortune.

  • Politics as a hobby. Elected officials from the Center Party talk about their political work. There will also be fun activities, such as a wheel of fortune and mini-golf.

  • We will distribute information and brochures on thyroid and parathyroid disorders and host a thyroid quiz.

  • A healthy back keeps us moving forward together. Exercise is medicine. Pirkanmaa Back Association.

  • Come try out the horses at our riding stable! While you’re here, you can also check out the recreational activities organised by the National Organization for Children in Pirkanmaa.

  • At Pirkanmaan Siirtolapuutarhojen Aluejärjestö’s stand, you can learn about all four of Tampere’s allotment gardens: the Litukka Allotment Garden, the Nekala Allotment Garden, the Niihama Allotment Garden, and the Rahola Allotment Garden. Did you know that the public paths in allotment gardens are open to everyone as park areas, and you’re welcome to enjoy the diverse urban nature? At the stand, we offer tips for your visit and information for those dreaming of their own garden plot.

  • Pirkanmaan viestikilta presents a collection of working communications equipment spanning a century. Do you know how to use a field telephone? What are the “Kyynel” long-range patrol radio and the “matolaatikko” like? Would you like to try telegraphy using computer software? You can try amateur radio communication under the supervision of an operator.

  • Free blood pressure check! Information on kidney and liver health!

  • Come check out cheerleading as a hobby!

  • A variety of physical activities and an introduction to the club’s activities for the whole family.

  • Capoeira is a fast-paced Brazilian martial art in which music plays an integral role. Come check it out!

  • Come check out Roseira, a Tampere-based samba school that’s about to turn 40! At our stand, you can try out samba instruments, pose with samba accessories, and learn about our fall schedule. See you at our stand!

  • Come learn about Save the Children’s work and team, as well as opportunities for volunteering. We’ll also have a fun contest for kids and the young at heart.

  • Come join us for a discussion, vote on the issues you think are most important in the welfare sector, and enter our raffle. We’ll have balloons and lollipops for the kids!

  • Seigikai ry introduces the Japanese martial arts of Aikido and Iaido. Classes begin in September.

  • Shakta Yoga School Tampere teaches yoga with respect for its original roots—in a practical, clear, and pressure-free way.
    We offer classes, courses, and retreats for anyone who wants to feel better and deepen their connection with themselves.

  • Let’s explore, both through practical examples and group discussion, ways we can bring joy to older adults—which is, after all, the purpose of our association.

  • At our stand, you can learn the secrets of arm wrestling under the guidance of professionals.

  • Come visit our stand to learn about the wide range of volunteer activities offered by the Tampere branch of the Finnish Red Cross. We’ll be showcasing our buddy program, various forms of integration support, first aid and emergency response activities, and much more. The ambulance used by the chapter for its first aid on-call services will also be on site. Our booth will also serve as the event’s first aid station.

  • Suomen Karva-Kaverit is an association open to all animal species, whose goal is to develop animal-assisted volunteer activities in which animals are used to bring joy and improve human health and social well-being, prevent problems related to human well-being, and support people facing difficulties. We visit and bring joy to, among others, the elderly, people with developmental disabilities, those recovering from substance abuse and mental health issues, as well as children and young people in daycare centers, schools, and various events. We also serve as reading buddies in libraries and schools.

  • Our stand offers information about a comprehensive basic education in theatre arts. During their studies, our students get to explore all aspects of theatre. Groups of children and young people progress from one level to the next according to their age, and each year brings its own challenges. Students can start at the school at age 6, and there is no upper age limit.

  • Come visit the Tampere branch of SuPer, trade union for practical nurses, to learn more about our local activities.

  • Come and learn about the various services offered by Tampere Sports Services.

  • Tampere Tourist Guides invite you to discover your city from a new perspective! Join our mini-tours, which start on the hour, test your knowledge in the Tampere Quiz or buy a tour gift card for a loved one. Be inspired by Tampere’s stories, history and local gems—we’ll give you the best tips for soaking up the atmosphere of Tampere!

  • Simple demonstrations of optics and photonics. For example, small low-power lasers, lenses, and holograms.

  • Tampereen A-kilta ry is a peer support organisation for people in recovery from substance abuse. At our booth, we’ll be showcasing the work of Tampereen A-kilta. We warmly invite you to participate in our community art project.

  • Tampereen Jumppatiimi is a recreational gymnastics club with a positive atmosphere for people of all ages. The club offers recreational groups open to families, children, and teens, as well as group exercise classes for adults throughout Tampere. There are special classes for seniors.

  • Tampereen kulttuuriyhdistys is a 52-year-old community of culture enthusiasts that organises cultural events, keeps Tampere’s cultural traditions alive and brings together people interested in culture. The association’s best-known events include the traditional Niittyjuhlat festival in August, and each year it awards the Kulttuurikukkanen prize for significant contributions to culture.

  • Luther House, a safe congregation community in Tampere.

  • Tampereen Navigaatioseura offers its members training, as well as opportunities to come together and learn about boating.

  • Come on down to TNV for some fun-filled activities for kids and adults alike! Introducing the fall 2026 season!

  • Come meet some scouts from Tampere and learn more about scouting. Here, you can find a scouting activity for yourself or your child.

  • Cycling associations in Tampere explain how they encourage city residents to cycle and what they are doing to improve cycling conditions.

  • Learn about your roots and find out more about genealogy.

  • At our stand, you can learn about the Japanese art of tea (tea ceremony), see one method of preparing traditional Japanese matcha tea, and take part in a fun quiz. Those interested can also enjoy a cup of matcha tea and try their hand at making it themselves (includes matcha tea and a handmade sweet for €5). We are a hobby group dedicated to the Japanese art of tea (tea ceremony) based in Kaleva, Tampere. We study and teach traditional Japanese tea-making methods and explore Japanese culture.

  • The juniors of Vihuri’s youth division will showcase the recreational and competitive activities organised by the club.

  • At the Tampereen Voimailuseura stand, you can check out our fall boxing classes, try your hand at punching the heavy bag and practicing your balance, and win tickets to the international Tammer Tournament.

  • Tampereen Voimistelijat will showcase its wide range of recreational activities. Visitors can try out the large trampoline, air track, and obstacle course.

  • An introduction to club activities, support and assistance, and volunteer work!

  • At our stand, you can learn about competitive dancing and the activities of Tanssiseura Spiral. We’ll be offering short dance workshops where you can try out steps from the waltz, tango, and jive, among others. You can also watch performances by the club’s solo and partner dancers at the booth.

  • Tanssiseura Swing Team presents the rock ‘n’ swing dances included in its fall course lineup.

  • Check out our dance classes in Tampere! We offer dance classes for dancers of all ages and skill levels, from children to adults.

  • Come chat with Theatre Lysti members, learn about the theatre’s activities, and check out this summer’s play, “Kuin tuhka tuuleen.”
