Festival vibes and recreational activities in Hämeenpuisto on Sunday 3rd August

Puistofiesta will kick off again an action-packed and hobby-filled autumn season in Hämeenpuisto boulevard. This year, 84 organisations will be providing relaxed and entertaining activities. The Puistofiesta event area will stretch from Hallituskatu to Näsinpuisto, as usual.

This year, the event atmosphere will be elevated by mentalist Jose Ahonen, singer-songwriter Aliisa Syrjä, and the energetic band Hauli Bros.  

The youngest family members will be brought joy by Tuomo Rannankari and Salmisen Posetiivi through cheerful sing-alongs and playful activities.  

As in previous years, Simo Frangen will host the event. For the Moomin 80 Anniversary, we will hear an engaging interview on how Tampere Became the Home of the world’s only Moomin Museum.

Try out a variety of hobbies at the activity spots  

Event visitors will be able to try their hand at activities such as playing musical instruments, fencing, Japanese tea art, and cheerleading. Organisations will also share information about scouting, martial arts, Icelandic horses and volunteering in rescue services. And how about history or politics as a hobby?

“Every year the participating organisations surprise visitors with fun and engaging programmes. As always, the area will feature a variety of try-it-yourself spots, where visitors can explore potential hobbies in a relaxed and welcoming environment”, says producer Matilda Toriseva.
