A day of music, activities and summer fun at Puistofiesta on 2 August 

Puistofiesta, one of Tampere’s best-loved summer events for the whole family, returns to Hämeenpuisto on Sunday 2 August 2026 from 11.00 to 16.00. Celebrating its 15th edition, the free event invites visitors to enjoy live performances, hands-on activities and a lively festival atmosphere in the heart of the city.

Every year, Puistofiesta marks the unofficial start of Tampere’s autumn hobby season, bringing together local organisations and businesses in Hämeenpuisto. This summer, visitors can explore over ninety activity stands stretching from Hämeenkatu all the way to Näsinpuisto. The programme encourages people of all ages to discover new hobbies, try something unexpected and spend a relaxed summer day together.

Live Finnish rock and entertainment on the main stage

This year’s stage programme features a strong line-up of Finnish rock with a distinct Tampere flavour. Audiences can enjoy the guitar-driven sound of Nina Kaitaranta and her band, alongside Miljoonasade Duo led by Finnish rock legend Heikki Salo. Adding even more energy to the afternoon is powerhouse vocalist Noora Louhimo, familiar to many from the television show Tähdet, tähdet.

Children and families can join in the fun with Siina & Taikaradio Duo, whose interactive music show combines singing, play and plenty of laughter. Visitors will also have the chance to experience the captivating performance of Jenni Sofia, one of Finland’s few female mentalists. Hosting the event is the ever-entertaining Simo Frangén, known for his trademark palindrome humour.

At its heart, Puistofiesta is an open and approachable hobby and community event set in a vibrant summer park. Visitors can try out everything from martial arts, dance and cheerleading to scouting activities and drama workshops. Those looking for a calmer pace can unwind with yoga or spend time with friendly dog companions.

The event offers a unique glimpse into the wide range of hobbies and leisure opportunities available in the Tampere region. Once again, local associations, organisations and businesses are coming together to create an enjoyable and welcoming summer day for everyone.
