Puistofiesta brought joy and experiences to Hämeenpuisto boulevard
The traditional Puistofiesta was celebrated on 4 August in Hämeenpuisto boulevard in a joyful atmosphere. The popular park event offered visitors a wide range of hobby attractions and a varied stage programme, from musical gigs to circus performances.
The event featured more than 90 activity stands organised by companies, associations and city operators, where visitors could take part in raffles and quizzes and try out different sports and hobbies. Activities included dance, athletics, music and craft workshops.
“The Park Fiesta was once again celebrated in a joyful atmosphere despite some rain. Visitors tried their hand at hobby experiments and the stage show was a highlight among the activities,” says Matilda Salminen, Event Producer for the City of Tampere.
The stage offered a varied programme for visitors of all ages. Pikkuli from Pikku Kakkonen, pop singer Jenni Mustajärvi, the Tampere Ukulele Orchestra and the vocal group Dominutz took to the stage. Samba school Uniao Da Roseira wowed the audience with their colourful carnival ensemble, and circus artist Simon Llewellyn took the audience into the world of the circus. The stage show was hosted by Simo Frangén.
